What’s the cost of a video?

It’s tough to say without knowing the details of your project. Every project is completely different and the scope of work for each project varies.

This is why we sit down with you to figure out exactly what you need and how we can help provide the best filming experience we possibly can give. Please contact us for our full rates.

Note: We offer special rates to local small businesses and non-profits to help enrich our community.

Do you offer payment plans on your business, event and wedding projects?

Yes we do. We're the only cinematography service in Sequim, Washington that allows ALL of our clients to make payments after we receive a 50% deposit. The deposit books pre-production planning, filming dates along with editing timeframe schedules.

What equipment do you use for your filming projects?

For video editing we use the industry standard video editor and color grading software Davinci Resolve. For cameras we utilize:

  1. Canon EOS C200 Cinema Camera (supports 4K recording).

  2. Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Digital Camera (supports 4K recording).

  3. Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera (supports 4K recording).

Along with the main cameras we have an assortment of lenses, gimbals, drones and various other equipment to help film just about any project out there.

From beginning of first contact to delivery of the final video, how long does the process take?

We understand that every project is unique, and we strive to deliver high-quality videos that meet our clients' specific needs. Our typical turnaround time for video projects is 1-3 months from the completion of pre-production planning. If your project is straightforward, we can often complete it within a month. However, if it involves complex graphics, custom music, or requires approval from a committee, the process may take longer, usually 2-3 months. Our production schedule is also a factor that affects project completion times, and we work closely with our clients to ensure timely delivery.

I have someone who will do a project for considerably less or even free, why should I pay Cascadia Films?

However think of these possible outcomes:

  1. Your business or event is your heart and your passion.

Your business or event is not just a job, it's your life's work and passion. You've dedicated countless hours to perfecting it and educating yourself to become an expert in your field. Now, imagine if a client or customer asks for free or heavily discounted work from someone with less experience than you.

  2. Events and weddings only happen ONCE.

Events and weddings are once-in-a-lifetime occasions that cannot be repeated. While hiring someone who charges less or offers free services may seem like a good deal, it could lead to disastrous results. For instance, what would happen if the camera stops working, or the lens is broken or stolen? Would the person you hired have backups and insurance to cover the cost? What would they do if a memory card fails, or the footage is corrupted? These are just a few examples of the many problems that could arise during a shoot or event.

At Cascadia Films, we understand these challenges and have solutions to every issue. Our team has years of experience and training to handle any situation that may arise. We have backup equipment, insurance, and systems in place to ensure that your project is delivered on time and within budget.

  3. You deserve the best filming experience with the best filming company.

When it comes to filming, you get what you pay for. Hiring an inexperienced person may save you money in the short term, but it could cost you much more in the long run. As the saying goes, "When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do".

Take a look at our portfolio and see the variety of creative projects we've filmed, from businesses and corporate events to weddings and non-profit organizations. We have the experience, training, and passion to deliver the best filming experience for you. Don't settle for less.

We hope after considering the above you understand why free/cheap can cost you more than one of our videos ever could.
